Harley knitwear is made with care in Scotland. They carefully source all their yarns according to their quality and sustainability standards. They care about the environment and the ethical sourcing of their raw materials.
Established in 1929 – with textile knowledge and technical expertise spanning three generations of the same Harley family – Harley of Scotland are market leaders in seam free whole garment knitwear. With a heritage anchored in fair isle knitting techniques, Harley garments are inspired by the local landscapes and culture of the North-East and Northern Isles of Scotland.
Seam-free whole garment knitting means Harley's knitwear is knitted flatbed tubular “in the round” and cast off the machines as a complete sweater. They are proud to offer their knitwear to market with zero waste.

Care Instructions
Hand-wash your Harley of Scotland wool sweater in lukewarm water using a specialist hand wash soap, rinse several times in clean lukewarm water then gently squeeze to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry on a flat surface – easing gently back into shape whilst damp. If required, iron on a cool setting using a damp cloth to protect your garment. You may also dry clean your sweater using a specialist dry cleaner.
Do not use bleach or use detergents of any kind – especially detergents containing OBA’s (Optical Brightening Agents) as these can cause damage to delicate wool fibres and never mix colours whilst handwashing.
